Live Precious Metal Prices
London spot prices for gold, silver, platinum and palladium — quoted in pounds sterling and US dollars. Refreshed every 60 seconds. Sourced from gold-api.com benchmarked against the LBMA reference and cross-checked with goldprice.org.
Spot prices
FX conversion uses live USD→GBP exchange rate. Prices are indicative wholesale spot — retail bullion includes a refiner premium typically 3–6% (gold), 12–18% (silver) and 5–8% (platinum/palladium).
How spot pricing works
Spot price
The current wholesale market price for one troy ounce of refined metal, set continuously by global trading on the London, New York and Shanghai exchanges.
Premium
Bullion products trade above spot to cover refining, minting, distribution and dealer margin. Larger bars carry the lowest premium per ounce.
Bid / ask
When you sell metal back to a dealer, you receive the bid price (typically 1–4% under spot for investment-grade gold). Numismatic coins are valued separately.
